Author Guidelines

The following guidelines must be followed by all authors submitting manuscripts to the Journal of Accounting (JAKSI). These instructions ensure consistency, academic rigor, and high-quality publication standards.

A. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be written in Indonesian using clear and systematic academic writing style.

  • Manuscripts must be original work, previously unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal.

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).

  • Length: 6–15 pages (excluding appendices).

  • Plagiarism threshold: Maximum 20%. All cited content must be properly referenced.

B. Manuscript Structure Manuscripts should be organized as follows: Title, Author and Affiliation, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature Review (optional), Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments (optional), References, and Appendices (optional).

C. Formatting

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt.

  • Spacing: 1.5 lines.

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.

  • Paper Size: A4.

  • Layout: Single column, justified alignment.

D. Title and Abstract

  • Title: Specific, concise, and no more than 20 words.

  • Abstract: 150–250 words summarizing the background, objectives, methods, findings, and research significance. No citations allowed.

  • Keywords: 3–6 terms, separated by commas.

E. Authors and Affiliations

  • Author names should be written without academic titles.

  • Use superscript numbers (e.g., Name¹) for different institutional affiliations.

  • One author must be designated as the Corresponding Author with a valid email address.

F. Tables and Figures

  • Numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).

  • Table Titles: Placed above the table.

  • Figure Titles: Placed below the figure.

  • Minimum resolution: 300 dpi. All elements must be cited within the text.

G. Citations and References Authors must follow the APA 7th Edition style. Use of reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero is highly recommended.

  • Book: Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia. (2022). Standar Akuntansi Keuangan. Salemba Empat.

H. Research Ethics & Submission Process

  • Authors must ensure data integrity and disclose any conflicts of interest or funding sources.

  • Submissions must be made through the Online Submission System (OJS).

  • All manuscripts undergo a Double-Blind Peer Review process.

I. Final Proofing & Copyright The editorial team will send a proof before final publication. Authors are required to complete and sign the Copyright Transfer Agreement (CTA) prior to publication.

Thank you for choosing the Journal of Accounting (JAKSI) for the publication of your scientific work. During this process, you will be required to upload your manuscript files, identify co-authors, and provide essential information such as the title and abstract.

Submission Guidance:

  • Please review our Author Guidelines once more if you have not already done so to ensure your manuscript meets our standards.

  • Provide as much detailed information as possible in the form fields to assist our editors in accurately evaluating your work.

  • Save Progress: You may save your submission as a draft and return to complete it at a later time before final submission.

  • Final Review: You will have the opportunity to review and correct any information before officially submitting the manuscript.

 

Copyright Notice

Authors submitting manuscripts to Jurnal Akuntansi (JAKSI) must agree to the following copyright terms before the submission process can be finalized:

  • Copyright Transfer: The copyright of accepted and officially published manuscripts is held entirely by Jurnal Akuntansi (JAKSI) under the auspices of Universitas Teknologi Muhammadiyah Jakarta.

  • Publication Rights: The journal holds the exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive articles in various formats, including both print and electronic/digital media.

  • Licensing Terms: All articles published by JAKSI are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license permits others to:

    • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

    • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially.

  • Attribution Requirements: Other parties must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and if the material is remixed or transformed, the contributions must be distributed under the same license as the original work.

  • Author Declaration: Authors guarantee that the submitted manuscript is an original work, does not infringe upon the copyrights of any other party, and all listed authors have read and agreed to these copyright transfer terms.

Privacy Statement

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the administrative and scientific publication purposes of Jurnal Akuntansi (JAKSI). This data will not be made available for any other purpose or shared with any third party.

Your privacy is paramount to us. Our data protection policy encompasses the following provisions:

  • Data Collection: We collect personal information (such as full name, institutional affiliation, email address, and ORCID ID) when you register an account, submit a manuscript, or communicate with the editorial team.

  • Use of Information: The data is utilized for managing the peer-review process, editorial correspondence, article publication (authors' names and affiliations will be published alongside the issued article), and sending journal updates.

  • Data Security: We implement standard technical and administrative security measures to safeguard your data against unauthorized access, modification, misuse, or data breaches.

  • User Rights: Users retain the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data from our system, provided that such requests do not compromise the integrity and historical record of officially published scientific archives.
