The workflow from article submission to publication within the ejournal UTM Jakarta platform follows these systematic steps:
- Article Submission: The Author submits the manuscript online through the OJS system.
- Assign 2 Reviewers: The Editor screens the submission and assigns at least 2 (two) expert Peer Reviewers.
- Reviewer Decision: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript's substance and provide their recommendations, resulting in three possible paths:
- 2 Approve: If both reviewers approve, the manuscript directly Proceeds to Similarity Check.
- 1 Approve: If there is a split decision (only 1 approves), the manuscript undergoes a Re-review by the Managing / Section Editor for a final determination.
- 2 Decline: If both reviewers reject the work, the Submission is Declined by the Editor.
- Similarity Check: The Editor screens the manuscript for plagiarism using detection software (Turnitin).
- ≤ 20%: The manuscript Passes and proceeds to the next stage.
- ≥ 20%: The manuscript is sent back for Paraphrase / Revision by the Author before any further processing.
- Copyediting: The manuscript undergoes linguistic and stylistic refinement, handled jointly by the Editor and Author.
- Production: The Layout Editor formats the final manuscript into the journal's official publishing template (PDF Galley).
- Final Approval (Ready to Publish): The Managing Editor gives the final approval, and the article is officially ready for publication.
