Author Guidelines

Authors wishing to submit their manuscripts to JELAWAT: Jurnal Ekonomi Laut dan Air Tawar are required to strictly read and follow these guidelines before submission. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines will be returned without peer review.

1. General Requirements

  • Originality: The manuscript must be an original scientific work, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration by another journal.
  • Language: Manuscripts can be written in either Indonesian or English.
  • Manuscript Types: Accepted manuscript types: original research articles, review articles, case studies, and literature reviews.
  • Plagiarism: The editorial office will check similarity indices using Turnitin/iThenticate before processing.
  • Submission Method: All manuscripts must be submitted online through the OJS system on the submission page.

2. Manuscript Format

  • Official Template: Authors are required to use the official JELAWAT template available for download here: [Download JELAWAT Article Template]. Manuscripts that do not use the official template will not be processed further.
  • Anonymization: To ensure the double-blind review process, the uploaded file must not contain any author identification (names, affiliations, emails). Author details must only be filled in the OJS metadata fields.

3. Submission Process

  1. Register or log into the JELAWAT OJS account through the registration page.
  2. Click the New Submission button and follow the wizard steps.
  3. Upload your manuscript strictly in .doc or .docx format.
  4. Ensure all author information is completely filled into the system metadata, not inside the manuscript file.
