Focus and Scope

JELAWAT: Jurnal Ekonomi Laut dan Air Tawar is a peer-reviewed scientific journal officially published by Universitas Teknologi Muhammadiyah Jakarta (UTM Jakarta). This journal focuses on the dissemination of scientific studies, policy analyses, and critical insights in the fields of economics, socio-culture, and ecology related to the utilization and management of marine and freshwater resources.

The scope of topics accepted by JELAWAT includes, but is not limited to, the following fields:

  1. Marine Resource Economics

  2. Freshwater Resource Economics

  3. Socio-Cultural Aspects of Coastal Communities

  4. Socio-Cultural Aspects of Aquaculture Communities

  5. Marine and Freshwater Aquatic Ecology

Types of Accepted Manuscripts: JELAWAT welcomes high-quality submissions in the form of original research articles, review articles, case studies, and literature reviews. Manuscripts may be written in either Indonesian or English, adhering to proper academic language standards.

Publication Frequency: This journal is published regularly twice a year, specifically in February and August.
